When making your Cacao remember it’s a personal experience. Cacao is a creativity enhancer so why not be creative whilst you are making your sacred heart expanding medicine. By experimenting and getting creative over time you will figure out what your favourite recipes and flavours are. As you become more deeply connected to your true self and your surroundings you will feel into the concoctions you like at different times of the year and for your differing moods. The body knows exactly what it needs if we can connect and listen carefully enough.
Use the recipes below as guides, over the years I have found that the most popular and most palatable is my ‘Salted Caramel’ signature blend which is perfect to use in Ceremonies. It takes some of the bitterness away from the raw Cacao and also adds that divine sweetness that most people find comforting and calming. Adding chilli and cayenne activates the Cacao in your system more quickly and also adds that bit of heat that is sometimes needed in winter.
We hope you enjoy trying our recipes and seeing what is possible. Also be inspired to get creative and try new things, that’s what Cacao is all about.
Magical alchemical blessings…

Each Recipe can be made with a Ceremonial dose 40-50g or a regular serving of 15-20g per person. For each additional person add the same amount of ingredients again! Put your Cacao in a pan with a small amount of plant milk or water and gently heat on the stove. Whisk into a paste so that all the pieces of cacao have melted and it’s smooth. Add the rest of your ingredients and heat, keeping it on a low heat. Don’t let it boil as you will lose some of the active ingredients and compounds. We think it’s best to keep the goodness in and man is there a lot of goodness in there. Viva Cacao!

CACAO, BANANA & AVOCADO SMOOTHIE
- 100ml of almond milk
- 1 really ripe banana
- 1/2 an avocado
- 4 medjool dates
- 15-20g of FULL POWER CACAO
- 1 teaspoon of Agave
- 1 teaspoon of almond butter

FULL POWER BALLS RECIPE
Here is my recipe for FULL POWER Bliss Balls. They are a great alternative to drinking Cacao and they can be medicinally gentler, which is good if you are wanting to get stuck into a creative project, write, play outdoors as well a more practical method of cacao-delivery for events that don’t offer access to a heat source for warming and mixing the drinking version. It’s good to make a batch and keep them in the fridge.
Ingredients – all measurements are approximate:
- 125g FULL POWER CACAO
- 250g chopped, pitted dates
- Coconut milk or filtered water
- Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
- Desiccated coconut to coat
Method:
Chop and soak the dates in just enough warm water to cover them for at least a couple of hours or over night. Drain off the water (you can keep this water to mix back in or throw it away if you want to use coconut milk instead). Warm up a little coconut milk and melt down your cacao until it is smooth and add a pinch of salt. Try to use as little liquid as possible so that your mix isn’t runny.
Add the melted cacao to the dates and add vanilla paste and mix them up. If your mix is too wet, you’ll have to add some more cacao paste or bulk it up a little with something like ground almonds or other dry ingredients. I then like to smash it all up and together in a food processor. Prepare a bowl filled with the desiccated coconut and a plate to place your FULL POWER bliss balls on. Roll the mix into balls in the palms of your hands then coat in desiccated coconut. FULL POWER!!!
