In January 2024, ceremonial-grade cacao entered the mainstream conversation, reaching millions through an appearance on BBC’s Dragons’ Den.

"When I walked into the Den, I didn’t come in with a pitch designed for TV.

I came in with cacao, and the practice around it.

I introduced myself plainly.

I explained cacao for what it is: the original form of the bean - not hot chocolate, but something prepared daily, taken slowly, and worked with intentionally.

I asked for £50,000 for 5% of the business.

Some of the Dragons had never even heard the word cacao before. Others recognised it instantly from their own lives. Either way, there was curiosity - and scepticism.

But my mindset was steady. I didn’t walk in looking for approval. I wasn’t there to persuade anyone with theory. I was there to let the work speak.

And once the cacao was served, the conversation shifted."

I’d served a full ceremonial dose — not a half measure. I knew what cacao does in the body, and I trusted it to do its thing. You see it straight away: the pause, the expressions, the room settling before anyone says a word.

I didn’t go in unprepared. I knew the product. I knew my numbers. But more than that, I knew my story - and I didn’t try to sanitise it or perform it.

I spoke honestly. About change. About losing my mum. About depression. About finding something steady enough to rebuild a life around.

And instead of weakening the room, that honesty grounded it."

WHEN IT LANDED

"We were moving from what is this? to how far can this go?

The offers came in - each Dragon seeing something different: brand, retail, growth. Momentum was building fast.

At one point, I stepped away to think. But I wasn’t running calculations, I tuned in to the same place I’ve always tuned into when decisions matter - Lady Cacao. Her message was simple: choose alignment.

Since then, FULL POWER CACAO hasn’t slowed. More people drinking cacao daily. More ceremonies. More facilitators trained. More conversations opening up around what we consume, why it matters, and how we live.

This was never about a moment on TV. It was about opening the door wider — and keeping it open."
